Obama Calls America A “Democracy”

On the heels of my blog about one liberal bonehead’s reference to America as being the greatest Democracy on the planet comes a quote from the soon-to-be-president himself Barack Obama.  During the regular weekly radio address from the unConstitutional Office of the President-elect yesterday, Obama himself called America a Democracy.  Here is the quote: “Inaugurations have taken place during times of war and peace; in Depression and prosperity.  Our democracy has undergone many changes, and our people have taken many steps in pursuit of a more perfect union.”

Great!  So not only does he want to write a new delcaration of independence, change the Constitution and not prove that he is a natural born citizen, but he doesn’t even know what form of government America has – a REPUBLIC!  This is going to be a long four years.

  1. The question is not IF there will be an interdiction of Obama’s Presidency by the Supreme Court, the questions are WHEN and HOW that interdiction will transpire — that is, if the USA is to continue as the Constitutional Republic that now exists.

  2. Obama is hardly the first politician to refer to America as a ‘democracy’ and he probably won’t be the last!

  3. You’re actually giving the President shit about calling America a democracy rather than a republic?

Do you realize that America’s government is actually a democratically-elected-republic? So calling it just a Republic is equally wrong?

I am not a fan of Obama, by any means, but if you look up the word Democracy in 90% of dictionaries you will find America in the definition. Dictionary.com for example. You may want to write Webster and other dictionaries to tell them of their erroneous ways. On the other hand I do believe if you look up socialisms in 2012 you may see a definition that includes Obama. ;o)
