The White House continues to attack FOX News with outrageous accusations and avoids appearing on the network. One would think that if FOX News were spreading lies, that the accused would appear on the network to disprove the accusations. Of course, the accused would not show up on a network if the truth were being exposed there and they could not dispel the reports. And that is precisely what FOX News is reporting: truth. FOX News actually investigates and practices true journalism, which is lacking at the other networks. That is why FOX News’ ratings are soaring and one of the reasons citizens were out protesting media bias this weekend.
White House officials made the Sunday morning talk show rounds without including FOX news again and took the opportunity to attack FOX News. One would think they have better things to do like create jobs, fight wars and secure the nation. The reactions of the White House reminds me of teenagers who do not like someone being liked over them. President Obama is Mr. Popularity – all he cares about – and so he does not like that something like FOX News is getting better approval ratings than him. And the fact is, if FOX News was not right on their reports then people like Van Jones would not have had to step down and ACORN would still be another arm of the government.
David Axelrod appeared on ABC’s “This Week” and said Fox News shouldn’t be treated as a news organization. “And the bigger thing is that other news organizations, like yours, ought not to treat them that way, and we’re not going to treat them that way…You know, I’m not concerned. Mr. Murdoch has a talent for making money, and I understand that their programming is geared toward making money,” Axelrod said. “The only argument Anita was making is that they’re not really a news station. … It’s not just their commentators, but a lot of their news programming. It’s really not news. It’s pushing a point of view.” So not only is the administration not appearing on FOX programs, but now they are telling other media outlets how to respond to FOX. This is something we already knew though since it came to light that administration officials were conducting morning conference calls with members of the media and offering bullet points.
It is not enough that the mainstream media are cheerleaders for Obama. The administration wants the media’s help in taking down FOX News. Rahm Emanuel claimed, “It is not a news organization so much as it has a perspective.” And what exactly would he say about MSNBC and CNN. Jeff Immelt, who is CEO of NBC, is a part of the administration. Former journalists from the mainstream media are not a part of the administration.
It truly is amazing how stupid the Obama administration thinks Americans are and how easily they think they can manipulate people. They are absolutely wrong and FOX News will continue to soar as long as the attack is on.
