Yesterday on Meet the Press Colin Powell, former Secretary of State under President George W. Bush, had the following to say about Barack Obama, “I think he is a transformational figure, he is a new generation coming onto the world stage, onto the American stage, and for that reason I’ll be voting for Sen. Barack Obama.” General Powell also cited Obama’s “ability to inspire” and the “inclusive nature of his campaign”. The inclusive nature of his campaign?! You mean if you agree with his Marxist ways. I assume that General Powell does and frankly, I’m not surprised. Back in 2004 when Colin Powell was Secretary of State, he approved a request by congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson to have an international task force monitor the U.S. Presidential election that fall. The request was forwarded to then United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan. Not only did Powell approve this move, he also placed an official request to the United Nations. Yes, that is right – Colin Powell asked the United Nations to supervise the United States presidential election. Why would he do such a thing to the sovereignty of America?
For one, he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. A while back Barack Obama was asked about the CFR, of which he is a member, and he said that it is basically a group of people just sitting around talking foreign policy. What he did not reveal is that that policy they discuss is about integrating the world into one entity. Google CFR and educate yourself. Obama’s only real accomplishment in the Senate has been presenting a bill about a global poverty initiative. Obama gave a stump speech over in Europe seeking the approval of that part of the world. This guy is about bringing the world together as one and breaking down the sovereignty of America and the freedoms we used to enjoy and have been slowly losing over the years. This is about Utopia – the ultimate goal of Marxism.
The other reason that I am not surprised about this endorsement ultimately boils down to race. Colin Powell is a black man and supposedly 95% of blacks plan to vote for Obama according to the polls. Surely not all of these black Americans believe in Obama’s Marxist ways, so I have to believe that they are doing it based on skin color period. Colin Powell himself said, “I can’t deny that it will be a historic event when an African-American becomes president. And should that happen, all Americans should be proud — not just African-American, but all Americans — that we have reached this point in our national history where such a thing could happen. It would also not only electrify the country, but electrify the world.” Electrify this country?! And quite frankly, I could care less about electrifying the world. But people interested in building a One World Utopia surely would care about world opinion.
This endorsement should not drive people to vote for Obama. It should drive them away.
