America’s Nightmare Ends Now

As a freedom-loving individual, I abhor anything that attempts to destroy that freedom or abridge that freedom in any way.  There is a Progressive movement afoot in the country that is attempting to do just that and it seems to me that the slumbering majority of Americans have awoken to a nightmare.  Many people accuse me of being racist or just plain hating the President because of my criticism of him.  People apparently cannot get beyond that point enough to realize that it is the ideology, the policies, the friendships and the lies that I am critiquing.  And this is not just about the President.  This is about a Progressive history that permeates community organizations, the court system, Congress, local government, public education, the media and Hollywood.  These groups believe that our sacred documents are fundamentally flawed and living – thus they can be changed and need to be changed.  The three branches of government are sworn to uphold the Constitution and protect it from all enemies foreign and domestic.  Unfortunately, they have become the domestic threat.

I have said that our President wants to be friends with America’s enemies, which must mean that he is the enemy.  I believe the same is true for the entire government save for a few souls who still hold to our Founding Principles.  What can we do when it seems that we are surrounded and that there is nothing we can do to change our circumstances?  A woman on Rush Limbaugh’s show today expressed this same feeling of outrage and slide into hopelessness, but then she pulled herself up and remarked that we are winning.  It does not matter that the media pays us little attention and when they do it is to poke fun.  Limbaugh let this woman speak for at least ten minutes uninterrupted and she spoke for millions of people.  The only thing she got wrong was that she insisted that we needed Rush to inspire us and give us hope and Rush was quick to point out later what was obvious about this caller.  She was the inspirer.  Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Levine and the like can help keep us informed and motivated, but it is We The People who make the real difference.

We can stop the nightmare and we already are splitting the Progressive movement at the seams.  Government healthcare is going nowhere do in large part to our efforts on the ground.  The year 2010 is looking to be a year of great transition and real change for America.  ACORN is being defeated and crying like a baby as it loses funding and lashes out at those who have brought this giant down.  Obama’s czars are being brought into the light and revealed one-at-a-time for the Marxists and traitors that they are.  One has fallen and more will follow.  Community organizations of  every variety are falling under scrutiny.  Congress has been hearing from us very clearly and boldly.  We are bringing God back into the public square.  Americans are taking back their country.

The world is moving to the right and so what sense does it make for America to move to the left?  That makes about as much sense as Michael Moore calling capitalism “evil” even as he makes money off of the documentary dedicated to that ideology.  Common sense is making a comeback.  Americans will not long bear public schools that indoctrinate their children to worship a human leader.  Americans will not long bear a government that spends their children’s future.  Americans will not long bear a movement that drives to erase their children’s freedom.  If not for us, we must do this for the children.  We must educate and empower ourselves and each other.  We have been given unalienable rights from God and no one can or will take those away.

What can you do?  If you are still on the couch, get up!  Most people are off the couch and just need to continue what they are doing.  Something as small as talking to neighbors and family, emailing your representatives, calling the White House switchboard, making a sign and attending a rally all make a difference.  The greatest difference takes place inside of you as you realize that the power of the government lies within you.  We can end America’s nightmare now before it is too late.  We will end the nightmare!

Sonia Sotomayor Is A Racist

Progressives everywhere feign indignation over the obvious fact being stated by conservatives that President Obama’s Supreme Court Justice nominee, Sonia Sotomayor, is a racist as revealed by many of her statements and rulings throughout the years,  Only those who are intellectually dishonest could deny such a claim.  Tom Tancredo, who has endured the label of “racist” for years, was one of the few GOP members to be audacious enough to speak the truth:

The left can deny the facts all they want, but they cannot explain away statements that Sotomayor has made like this one, “Whether born from experience or inherent physiological or cultural differences … our gender and national origins may and will make a difference in our judging. … I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”  So a Latina woman would give better rulings than a white man according to Sotomayor.  If the tables were turned, Latinos would be crying, “Racist!”  And keep in mind that this statement was made at a gathering of  La Raza Law Journal.  La Raza is a racist group whose name translates as “The Race” with an air of superiority.

Rush Limbaugh and Newt Gingrich have both referred to Sotomayor as racist.  Gingrich tweeted: ”Imagine a judicial nominee said ‘my experience as a white man makes me better than a latina woman.’  New racism is no better than old racism.  White man racist nominee would be forced to withdraw. Latina woman racist should also withdraw.”

In a famous ruling that is coming before the Supreme Court – interesting that President Obama did not mention this and instead chose to speak about Sotomayor’s baseball ruling – Sotomayor joined an unsigned opinion rejecting a lawsuit from a group of firefighters in Ricci v. Destefano.  She chose to not even deliberate in the lawsuit.  This lawsuit was filed on behalf of white firefighters who claimed reverse discrimination and that their civil rights were violated when results from a test that they passed were invalidated because not enough minorities passed the test to be promoted – only one Hispanic firefighter passed.  The lead plaintiff, Frank Ricci, battled dyslexia and spent months studying for the test, which he passed, but because no African-American firefighters passed he was denied a promotion. Second Circuit Judge Jose Cabranes, a Clinton appointment and liberal, wrote after hearing that Sotomayor rejected the case: “The opinion contains no reference whatsoever to the constitutional claims at the core of this case. This perfunctory disposition rests uneasily with the weighty issues presented by this appeal.”

Being a racist should be enough to keep someone off the Supreme Court bench, but even worse than this is the fact that Sotomayor believes that the Judicial Branch has the ability to legislate from the bench.  She even stated coyly during a speech that the Appeals Courts “create policy” and then quickly tried to cover herself by saying she should not say that since she was being taped.  As a Supreme Court Justice, she will be required to uphold the Constitution and our rights guaranteed in the Bill of Rights, but in a Second Amendment battle in Maloney v. Cuomo, Sotomayor joined an opinion holding that “it is settled law” that the Second Amendment only limits federal, and not state, gun control laws.  Thus she believes that states can take away gun rights.

This woman must come under heavy scrutiny from the GOP!  They must not back away fearing that they might be tagged as racist and lose the Hispanic vote if they fight this nomination.  This is the battleground and this is the time.  Jeff Sessions gave a lukewarm statement that they would be thorough with Sotomayor, but he sounded weak and timid.  The GOP needs to start echoing the leaders outside of Congress like Limbaugh and Gingrich and fight for our Constitution!

The Patrick Henry Caucus

Anything that has “Patrick Henry” in the title has me on board!  I watched State Rep. Carl Wimmer from Utah on Glenn Beck’s show last week and he was detailing  this new causcus he had started which focuses on state’s right: something defined by the Tenth Amendment.  Wimmer has started the fight in Utah, but plans to take the fight to other states.  One of the actions the caucus is taking is to cut the government’s use of the Interstate Commerce Act.  The government has been using this law to try to take away Second Amendment rights and other rights.  In using it, the government is trying to increase control over guns and ammunition.  Presently, states like Montana have been affirming that the law does not apply to states when they manufacturer their own guns and ammunition.

Rep. Wimmer is in the process of creating legislation in which the government cannot find loopholes.  Glenn Beck has coined the efforts of Wimmer and states like Montana as the “Civilist War”.  A war in which we do not have to use guns to regain our liberty, but the rule of law.  The reasserting of the sovereignty of states and individuals is under way!

“Right-Wing Extremists” Beware!

The assault on our freedoms is coming acrimoniously and swiftly.  Many Americans may have chuckled at Janet Napalitano’s DHS reported titled, “Right-wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment”, but true freedom lovers like myself are very concerned and outraged.  You can find a copy of the report here.  Based on this report that was provided to law enforcement agencies throughout the country, people are beginning to be targeted and treated as real extremists. 

Amendment 1:  “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

We have a right to place whatever bumper sticker we choose on our vehicles because we have freedom of speech here, at least right now.  A man in Louisiana was stopped and detained because he had a “Don’t Tread on Me” bumper sticker attached to his vehicle.  A police officer warned him about the “subversive” message it sent.  This assault on the first amendment developed in the small town of Ball, La., where a receptionist at the police department told WND.com she knew nothing about the traffic stop.  The driver was investigated for “extremist” activities, according to a relative of the driver.  No doubt the recent tea party events adorned with the “Don’t Tread On Me” flags and the DHS Extremist Report lead to this targeting.

Amendment 2: “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

The Second Amendment is under assault once again and “right-wing extremists” could be targeted.  Rep. Peter King has introduced HR 2159 titled, “Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009″.  Excuse me, but no one is going to be selling weapons legally to Abdullah and his brother Mohammed.  There is no doubt who this bill is suppose to affect: pro-lifers, gun-rights activists, tax protesters, freedom lovers, libertarians, etc.  The bill permits the Attorney General, Eric Holder who abhors guns, to deny the transfer of a firearm to a “known or suspected terrorist.”  The Attorney General gets to decide who exactly is a terrorist.

We must not slumber while the Bill of Rights is trampled upon.  Larry Pratt of Gun Owners of America said that the DHS bill should be dubbed the “Janet Napalitano Frenzied Fantasy Implementation Act of 2009.”  Amen!

Obama And Media Lying About Mexican Guns

This is what we were protesting on Wednesday.  We are tired of the lies!  Yet again we have the Obama administration, the media and the President himself lying – this time about Mexican guns.  And this is not just a little twisting of facts.  It is huge!  Supposedly, 90% of guns confiscated at Mexican crime scenes come from America.  The President claimed that during his speech in Mexico and he said gun shops on the border have sold them.  But the truth is something quite different.  The fact is that only 17% of guns found at those Mexican crime scenes can be traced to America.

The fact that the media and the President twists, is that over 90% of the traced firearms originate in the US.  Notice the emphasis on the “traced” part.  That comes from the ATF.  Matt Allen, special agent of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, says, “Not every weapon seized in Mexico has a serial number on it that would make it traceable, and the US effort to trace weapons really only extends to weapons that have been in the US market.”

Here are more facts:  Mexico confiscated 29,000 guns between 2007-2008 and submitted 11,000 to the ATF for tracing.  Close to 6,000 were able to be traced and 90% of those were found to come from the US.  What this means is that 68% of guns confiscated are never submitted for tracing.  Of those submitted, only 5,114 were traceable leaving 6,000 untraceable.  That makes 83% of confiscated guns untraceable to the US.

Perhaps the Obama administration should go looking in Russia, South America and Asia for the real gun dealers.  And they most definately better keep their hands off our guns!  See how they twist facts, fool the uninformed and use those lies to take our freedoms.  NO MORE!  DON”T TREAD ON ME!!!  (I apologize for the yelling.)

Senator Debbie Stabenow Pushes Fairness Doctrine

The lefty moonbats are increasing the calls for an end to conservative radio otherwise known as the Fairness Doctrine.  Michael Calderone over at the Politico reported a conversation between Bill Press and Senator Debbie Stabenow on his blog:

BILL PRESS: Yeah, I mean, look: They have a right to say that. They’ve got a right to express that. But, they should not be the only voices heard. So, is it time to bring back the Fairness Doctrine?

SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI): I think it’s absolutely time to pass a standard. Now, whether it’s called the Fairness Standard, whether it’s called something else — I absolutely think it’s time to be bringing accountability to the airwaves. I mean, our new president has talked rightly about accountability and transparency. You know, that we all have to step up and be responsible. And, I think in this case, there needs to be some accountability and standards put in place.

BILL PRESS: Can we count on you to push for some hearings in the United States Senate this year, to bring these owners in and hold them accountable?

SENATOR DEBBIE STABENOW (D-MI): I have already had some discussions with colleagues and, you know, I feel like that’s gonna happen. Yep.

There was no discussion about going after the left leaning MSM which has admitted being in the tank for Obama and trying to sway the election in his favor.  This is only meant to get the Glenn Becks, Rush Limbaughs, Sean Hannitys and the like.  Bill Press did his job by not probing for the facts like any competant journalist type should do.  He never once mentioned or asked the Senator about her husband.  And why should he have asked about the husband?  Because her husband co-founded the liberal TalkUSA Radio Network and is Executive Vice-President of the liberal Air America.  I am sure it is just a coincidence that Senator Stabenow has taken up this cause. 

I sure wish someone would take up the cause of the Constitution on the left.

Program On ‘The Power’ XM Radio Thinks Gun Permits Up Due To Racism

This morning I was driving to work and was flipping through the channels on the XM radio and I happened upon the black station The Power.  It’s the one right after the white station, oh wait…  Anyway, it caught my attention because they were talking about guns.  This was the Joe Madison show and he was explaining that a friend had told him that monthly gun permits had gone from 1200 a month to over 5000 in Maryland and that this correlated with Barack Obama becoming president.  Madison asked callers to give their opinions on why this phenomenon was taking place.  Every last one of them promoted the idea that it was due to racism.  You see the theory is that us white people are terrified that blacks will now feel empowered to come into our homes and steal our stuff.  And according to one caller, Dr. Francis Walsing (sp?), it is from a deep fear that we are going to lose our white civilization.  Another caller came right out and said that these gun buyers were uneducated and racist.  Talk about your fearmongering.  So much for Obama getting us past that whole race issue.  The black people just cannot seem to give it up.  And, oh yes, the word reparations came up as well.

What a joke!  They even attacked Glenn Beck and basically called him racist because he was promoting joining the NRA on his radio show.  I have several questions.  Could we get some statistics on who the people are that are purchasing guns?  Are they all white?  Are they indeed all uneducated?  Are they all racist?  That certainly is why I have decided to buy my first gun – because I’m a dimwit whitey who thinks the blacks are all out to get me.  Forget the fact that one of my best friends is a gay black guy.

Here are the facts:  President-elect Barack Obama’s rhetoric and record proves that he is anti-second amendment.  There is a real chance that gun rights will become more limited.  There is a real chance that taxes on guns and ammo will go through the roof with a liberal president and Congress.  The actions of the government in regards to bailouts, moving towards a more globalized governing system, Obama giving speeches in Berlin as if campaigning to the world and the world going crazy about his election calling him a truly global president cause many of us to believe that this Republic that we have in America will soon come to an end.  The only way to keep a tyrannical government at bay and in check is with guns.  That is why the Founding Fathers made sure to highlight and include that right in the Bill of Rights.  My fear of having someone break into my home is the same as it was before the election.  But because of the reasons I have sited here, I will be purchasing my gun and I would be willing to bet that is the thinking of most people signing up for gun permits.

Freedom Of Speech Goes Down Again

I found this video of an incident that took place in Philadelphia last Tuesday after Obama’s victory.  Can someone tell me what the McCain supporter did to warrant arrest?  Standing on a public sidewalk wearing a McCain/Palin T-shirt appears to be an arrestable offense now.  But even scarier to me are the throngs surrounding this guy chanting “Obama” and cheering his arrest. 

“Joe The Plumber” Shines Light On Obama’s Communist Ways

For months I’ve been chronicling Barack Obama’s Marxist ways, but I think I was not stretching far enough.  It would appear that Communism is Obama’s ultimate goal.  “Joe the Plumber” has been under a scrutiny from the media that Barack Obama has yet to experience.  Joe has been under attack from both Obama and his running mate, Joe Biden.  One of the biggest criticisms is that *gasp* Joe is not his real name.  Joe’s full name is Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher.  I always thought the name Joe was short for Joseph and that it was okay to go by one’s middle name, but I guess I was wrong.  And *gasp* Joe doesn’t have a license.  I guess he does not need one when he works for a plumbing business so what is the big deal.  And *gasp* Joe owes back taxes.  I myself am Diane the Housekeeper and I know a thing or two about paying taxes and how difficult that can be on a quarterly basis.  If most of America had to pay taxes like I do, the pitchforks would come out.  During a good year, I might bring home $26,000 and yet I pay over a $1,200 a quarter.  That is why any talk of raising taxes grinds me.  And even though the media has pointed out that people like Joe and myself will not pay more taxes under Obama, they are dead wrong.  Raising taxes on businesses will trickle down to us and I agree with Joe when he asked where the limit would be in the future.  Would Obama drop it to $100,000 eventually and then lower?  And I could have sworn that the people Obama is trying to reach and promising to help are the middle class.  I guess “Joe the Plumber” isn’t the kind of middle class Obama supports.

The real reason why Joe is under such attack has nothing to do with him and everything to do with Obama’s response to a question Joe asked him.  The entire exchange has not been played on TV so I have the entire transcript below with my comments in blue:

“I’m getting ready to buy a company that makes 250 to 280 thousand dollars a year,” Wurzelbacher said. “Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?”

Obama said, “First off, you would get a 50% tax credit so you’d get a tax cut for your healthcare costs….. if your revenue is above 250 – then from 250 down, your taxes are going to stay the same.  Of course, if he doesn’t provide the healthcare he will get penalized with fees. It is true that from 250 up – from 250 – 300 or so, so for that additional amount, you’d go from 36 to 39%, which is what it was under Bill Clinton. And the reason why we’re doing that is because 95% of small businesses make less than 250. I would love to know where he got this number because an association for small businesses says that 3 out of 4 small businesses would get hit.  So what I want to do is give them a tax cut. I want to give all these folks who are bus drivers, teachers, auto workers who make less, I want to give them a tax cut. And so what we’re doing is, we are saying that folks who make more than 250 that that marginal amount above 250 – they’re gonna be taxed at a 39 instead of a 36% rate.”

Responded Wurzelbacher, “the reason I ask you about the American dream, I mean I’ve worked hard. I’m a plumber. I work 10-12 hours a day and I’m buying this company and I’m going to continue working that way. I’m getting taxed more and more while fulfilling the American dream.”

“Well,” said Obama, “here’s a way of thinking about it. How long have been a plumber?”

Wurzelbacher said 15 years.

Obama says, “Over the last 15 years, when you weren’t making 250, you would have been given a tax cut from me, so you’d actually have more money, which means you would have saved more, which means you would have gotten to the point where you could build your small business quicker than under the current tax code. So there are two ways of looking at it – I mean one way of looking at it is, now that you’ve become more successful through hard work – you don’t want to be taxed as much.” Obama just made Joe’s point here – we don’t need higher taxes on anyone.

“Exactly,” Wurzelbacher said.

Obama continued, “But another way of looking at it is 95% of folks who are making less than 250, they may be working hard too, but they’re being taxed at a higher rate than they would be under mine. So what I’m doing is, put yourself back 10 years ago when you were only making whatever, 60 or 70. Under my tax plan you would be keeping more of your paycheck, you’d be paying lower taxes, which means you would have saved…Now look, nobody likes high taxes.”

“No,” said Wurzelbacher.

“Of course not,” said Obama. “But what’s happened is that we end up – we’ve cut taxes a lot for folks like me who make a lot more than 250. We haven’t given a break to folks who make less, and as a consequence, the average wage and income for ordinary folks, the vast majority of Americans, (I wish Obama would actually cite where he gets this stuff because my wages have only ever gone up.) has actually gone down over the last eight years. So all I want to do is – I’ve got a tax cut. The only thing that changes, is I’m gonna cut taxes a little bit more (I hope people have heard this, “cut taxes a little bit more” - does a little bit really help?) for the folks who are most in need and for the 5% of the folks who are doing very well – even though they’ve been working hard and I appreciate that – I just want to make sure they’re paying a little bit more in order to pay for those other tax cuts. (Ah, now we see that the “rich” will be paying for the tax cuts, not the government cutting back and getting rid of wasteful spending.) Now, I respect the disagreement. I just want you to be clear – it’s not that I want to punish your success – I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you – that they’ve got a chance at success too.” (You can mince words, Obama, but it is punishing success and it will retard success because people will try to hold back from the threshold that will cause their taxes to go up.)

Wurzelbacher said it seemed as though Obama might support a flat tax.

Obama says, “you know, I would be open to it except here’s the problem with a flat tax is that if you actually put a flat tax together, in order for it to work and replace all the revenue that we’ve got, you’d probably end up having to make it like about a 40% sales tax. (Don’t know where the hell he gets 40% from.) I mean that’s the value added, making it up. Now some people say 23 or 25, but in truth when you add up all the revenue that would need to be raised, you’d have to slap on a whole bunch of sales taxes on. And I do believe for folks like me who have worked hard, but frankly also been lucky, I don’t mind paying just a little bit more than the waitress that I just met over there who’s things are slow and she can barely make the rent.”

Obama said, “My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, (This guy is a moron on economics because everybody knows that there is a trickle down effect not a rise from the bottom.  Poor people don’t add to the economy in wages or jobs or even consumer spending.) it’s gonna be good for everybody. If you’ve got a plumbing business, you’re gonna be better off if you’re gonna be better off if you’ve got a whole bunch of customers who can afford to hire you, and right now everybody’s so pinched that business is bad for everybody and I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”  And there is the line that reveals that Obama is a socialist moving towards Communism.

“But listen,” Obama said, shaking Wurzelbacher’s hand, “I respect what you do and I respect your question, and even if I don’t get your vote, I’m still gonna be working hard on your behalf, because small businesses are what creates jobs in this country and I want to encourage it.”

“Guys I gotta get out of here and go prepare for the debate,” Obama said, “but that was pretty good practice right there.”

What really shines a light on Obama’s move towards Communism is what has happened in the days following this exchange.  If you criticize “the one” and shine light on his darkness, you will pay the price.  Freedom of speech has been under attack from the Obama campaign from the time this race got started and I’ve chronicled it here on my blog.  Now we see that the average “Joe” will not have freedom of speech either.

“The One” Crashes His Own Party As The Chill Wind Of Media Control Blows

Was anyone surprised last night by Barack Obama’s “surprise” visit to the Pepsi Center after Joe Biden’s speech?  I guess Joe was – faker!  The media had already covered the fact that Obama’s plane was on the ground.  Barack knew he needed to be there just in case the mind control techniques (bribes) didn’t work on President Clinton and he caused trouble.  Obama also wanted to make sure that everyone knew the reason why he had chosen Invesco Field as his venue for the acceptance speech tonight.  (Where else would his temple fit?)  He wanted to make sure everybody could come.  Hmmm…I wonder if those delegates who are having a hard time getting tickets know who’ll be sitting in those box seats.  Surely it wouldn’t be special interest groups or a bunch of fat cats?

Yes indeed a chill wind is blowing through this country.  And this week it has picked up steam.  You see, the reason why we know who will be seated in those special seats is because of some reporting done by Asa Eslocker, a producer for ABC News.  It seems that Mr. Eslocker has been covering the money trail of the DNC Convention and Obama’s campaign and trying to figure out where it is coming from.  His investigation took him to the Brown Palace Hotel where corporate lobbyists and elite donors were meeting.  (Hey, I thought Obama was different and above all that crap!)  Mr. Eslocker was arrested by the police there because he was trespassing on the PUBLIC sidewalk.  Or was it that they were trying to shut down the freedom of the press?  Think this is isolated?  Oh no.  Mr. Obama, the wanna be Facist, plans on controlling the media.  You’ve heard of the Fairness Doctrine?!

I’m sure you have heard the reports now that Obama’s team has been trying to strong arm television stations to keep them from playing John McCain’s expose commercial on Obama’s relationship with Weather Underground terrorist William Ayers.  The team is also going after the man who has funded the commercial.

And now Stanley Kurtz, a senior fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center has been trying to get his hands on some documents at a university that could prove very damaging to Obama by connecting him even more to William Ayers.  What are you hiding, Barack?  His campaign went to such lengths when they heard that Mr. Kurtz would be appearing on a radio program that they sent out the following email which I found at chicagotribune.com:

In the next few hours, we have a crucial opportunity to fight one of the most cynical and offensive smears ever launched against Barack.Tonight, WGN radio is giving right-wing hatchet man Stanley Kurtz a forum to air his baseless, fear-mongering terrorist smears. He’s currently scheduled to spend a solid two-hour block from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. pushing lies, distortions, and manipulations about Barack and University of Illinois professor William Ayers.

Tell WGN that by providing Kurtz with airtime, they are legitimizing baseless attacks from a smear-merchant and lowering the standards of political discourse.
