Tiger Woods’ Mistresspalooza

December 6, 2009 · 4 Comments

I usually do not discuss much on tabloid fodder here at Freedom’s Wings, but as more women pop out of the woodwork (was that a bad choice of words?) I find myself giving our society a hard look.  It comes as no surprise that a rich, world-famous and good-looking athlete has been stepping out on his wife and at a pace that would make George Clooney jealous.  What I take issue with is how our society seems to be dealing with an individual that appears to have the moral compass of pond scum.  And I do believe that Tiger Woods is pond scum.

Our society bellows against gay marriage and yet seems to take no issue with an individual that does not value marriage.  I have been faithful to my partner for over fifteen years now and that is without the benefit of a certificate or the embrace and support of society.  And yet, I have heard interview after interview of local golfers here in Florida and people around the nation asking them their opinion on Mistresspalooza (I claim creation rights to that -ha) and these men and WOMEN just shrug their shoulders and claim that it does not change their opinion of him and that it is a private matter.  I am sorry, this is not a private issue when this pond scum makes money off of endorsing products he wants me to buy and when he is world-famous and supposedly a person that kids look up to.  Not to mention that he is the reason why golf has made such a comeback.

And speaking of endorsements, Nike, Gatorade and Gillette have all come forward and stated that they are sticking by their man.  As if Tiger Woods is the victim?!  Why do contracts have moral clauses anyway?  I do not buy any of those products anyway, but I would think long and hard before I did as long as they continue to stick by their man.  This kind of behavior should be shamed to the point that Tiger Woods would have a hard time ever playing golf again because of the letter A on his back.  This man not only has no consideration for women, treating his wife this way and using mistresses like prostitutes (what would you call it if he had paid them immediately after having sex with them?) but he has no consideration for his children.  Tiger’s father seems to have been a beautiful man whom Tiger proudly shared with all of us.  His children sure are going to have a father to be proud of in the future when they learn the truth.

Unfortunately, the reaction to Tiger Woods’ infidelity reflects more on what America has become than on Woods himself.  A society that pulls prayer, nativities, the Ten Commandments and God from the center square really should not have more expected of them I suppose.  And although I do not support gay marriage, I guess I will have to continue to endure how my relationship is so sinful and dangerous to the family, while people like Tiger Woods are continued to be held up and forgiven even when they have not asked for it or done anything to deserve redemption.

Wonder how the One feels about that cover of Golf Digest he did with Tiger Woods?  That comes out this week I believe.

America’s Nightmare Ends Now

September 30, 2009 · Leave a Comment

As a freedom-loving individual, I abhor anything that attempts to destroy that freedom or abridge that freedom in any way.  There is a Progressive movement afoot in the country that is attempting to do just that and it seems to me that the slumbering majority of Americans have awoken to a nightmare.  Many people accuse me of being racist or just plain hating the President because of my criticism of him.  People apparently cannot get beyond that point enough to realize that it is the ideology, the policies, the friendships and the lies that I am critiquing.  And this is not just about the President.  This is about a Progressive history that permeates community organizations, the court system, Congress, local government, public education, the media and Hollywood.  These groups believe that our sacred documents are fundamentally flawed and living – thus they can be changed and need to be changed.  The three branches of government are sworn to uphold the Constitution and protect it from all enemies foreign and domestic.  Unfortunately, they have become the domestic threat.

I have said that our President wants to be friends with America’s enemies, which must mean that he is the enemy.  I believe the same is true for the entire government save for a few souls who still hold to our Founding Principles.  What can we do when it seems that we are surrounded and that there is nothing we can do to change our circumstances?  A woman on Rush Limbaugh’s show today expressed this same feeling of outrage and slide into hopelessness, but then she pulled herself up and remarked that we are winning.  It does not matter that the media pays us little attention and when they do it is to poke fun.  Limbaugh let this woman speak for at least ten minutes uninterrupted and she spoke for millions of people.  The only thing she got wrong was that she insisted that we needed Rush to inspire us and give us hope and Rush was quick to point out later what was obvious about this caller.  She was the inspirer.  Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck, Levine and the like can help keep us informed and motivated, but it is We The People who make the real difference.

We can stop the nightmare and we already are splitting the Progressive movement at the seams.  Government healthcare is going nowhere do in large part to our efforts on the ground.  The year 2010 is looking to be a year of great transition and real change for America.  ACORN is being defeated and crying like a baby as it loses funding and lashes out at those who have brought this giant down.  Obama’s czars are being brought into the light and revealed one-at-a-time for the Marxists and traitors that they are.  One has fallen and more will follow.  Community organizations of  every variety are falling under scrutiny.  Congress has been hearing from us very clearly and boldly.  We are bringing God back into the public square.  Americans are taking back their country.

The world is moving to the right and so what sense does it make for America to move to the left?  That makes about as much sense as Michael Moore calling capitalism “evil” even as he makes money off of the documentary dedicated to that ideology.  Common sense is making a comeback.  Americans will not long bear public schools that indoctrinate their children to worship a human leader.  Americans will not long bear a government that spends their children’s future.  Americans will not long bear a movement that drives to erase their children’s freedom.  If not for us, we must do this for the children.  We must educate and empower ourselves and each other.  We have been given unalienable rights from God and no one can or will take those away.

What can you do?  If you are still on the couch, get up!  Most people are off the couch and just need to continue what they are doing.  Something as small as talking to neighbors and family, emailing your representatives, calling the White House switchboard, making a sign and attending a rally all make a difference.  The greatest difference takes place inside of you as you realize that the power of the government lies within you.  We can end America’s nightmare now before it is too late.  We will end the nightmare!

The GOP Should Pay Attention To Libertarians

May 25, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Lindsey Graham does not speak for the GOP, but his attitude seems to be prevalent in the Republican Party.  And Graham is wrong as wrong can be and the GOP would do well to turn to the Libertarian Party for some ideas on how to save this country.  But Graham is more intent on the one thing that destroys not only parties, but individuals as well and that is the need to win at any cost.  Giving up principles and values should take priority over winning.  The GOP held Senator John McCain up and have had held up other left leaning Republicans because they think that is the way to win.  And Graham is one of those RINOs, so really this tape is no surprise.

Perhaps we should look to other leaders and discover what they have had to say about Libertarianism.  South Carolina’s Governor Mark Sanford has said, “Liberty is the hallmark of the American experiment.  That is the distinguishing characteristic of our Republic, and frankly what’s made it great…I’ve been accused of being a Libertarian and I would say I wear it as a badge of honor because I do love, believe in, and want to support liberty.”

I echo Senator Jim DeMint when he says, “[I] would rather have 30 Republicans who believe in the principles of limited government and free markets and free people than 60 Republicans who have no beliefs at all.”

And Ronald Reagan said it all when he said, “I have been doing my best to try to revitalize the Republican Party groups that I’ve spoken to, on the basis that the time has come to repudiate those in our midst who would blur the Republican image by saying we should be all things to all people in order to triumph…I’ve been urging Republicans to raise a banner and put the things we stand for on that banner and don’t compromise, but don’t try to enlarge the party by being all things to everyone when you can’t keep all the promises.  Put up a banner and then count on the fact that if you’ve got the proper things on that banner the people will rally round.”  And people did rally behind Reagan.  He was a true leader which is what this country has been needing since he left office.  He also said, “If you analyze it, I believe the very heart and soul of conservativism is libertarianism.”

We should want to win because we do not want socialism to have such free reign, but at the cost of the Constitutional principles upon which this country was built is not worth the win.  The RINOs need to step back into the shadows of the GOP unless the Republican Party wants to continue to shrink as those who claim to be “independent” continues to grow.

The Recent Trend Of Murder-Suicides

May 4, 2009 · 1 Comment

Our country has a problem that is even more serious than our march into socialism, but I believe that it is related.  This recent trend across the country of murder-suicides is the result of this problem.  The progressives on the left will cry out that guns are the problem, but that is just more rhetoric rather than an examination of the core issue.  The proof is the fact that guns are not always the means by which murder-suicides are committed.  There was the story of the man who beat and suffocated his family and slit his wrists in a hotel last week that proves that point.  Guns are usually the weapon of choice, but removing guns from a society will not stop the problem.

The problem has multiple layers that have built up over time.  We heard about murder-suicides in the past, but not at this alarming rate.  Even the argument that there is just more media coverage in our present age does not explain the trend.  This is a core human issue and also a societal issue.  Human life has been cheapened in our world.  In America the most innocent human beings, the unborn, are referred to as “fetuses” and “tissue” and abortion-on-demand is readily available.  The aquisition of “things” and prestige is more important than relationships.  When one loses those measures of success, their life seems to be at an end.  Despite the throngs that have referred to Obama as our champion of hope, many Americans are obviously without hope.  America is a country where “success” has come easily in recent years because nobody is allowed to fail and lose.  The coping mechanism for how to deal with loss and move on is undeveloped.

This country has pushed God out of the public square and it appears that many people have pushed Him out of their lives as well.  This has created a hole not only within our society, but also within individuals.  There is no hope for someone who has put all their reliance upon themselves.  When failure comes, the only option seems to be to end it all.  But there is a selfishness there as well which leads these suicidal people to take the lives of their families as well or in some cases, random people around them.  We have become a society where the individual matters most and society’s definition of success is the one championed.

We are becoming a selfish, Godless people and that is why Totalitarian ideals have been so widely embraced.  The murder-suicide trend is just an outgrowth of that movement.  Communist and fascist regimes throughout history have slaughtered millions of people in the name of bringing an utopian society.  How can murder ever be a part of the equation in an utopia?  That is the belief of the progressives, though; who years ago promoted eugenics.

And this is where American society is heading and it is reflected in this recent trend of almost daily reportings across the country of multiple murders usually followed with the suicide of the perpetrater.  We must come together as a country once more and re-dedicate ourselves and this great country to the Creator and fight for the God-given freedom we have to both succeed and fail.  And this is the core value in conservativism.

Kudos To Miss California 2009

April 22, 2009 · 62 Comments

UPDATE:  June 10, 2009  Carrie Prejean has now been stripped of her Miss California title for breach of contract because she has not made personal appearances that she was contractually obligated to fulfill.  Where exactly would that be condoned in the Christian world?  You have to be a person of your word Carrie if you want to maintain respect and for me personally, I truly find my initial support of you something that may have been given too quickly.  I do support your right of free speech and your rejection of gay marriage, Carrie,  but as someone who has thrust herself into the spotlight as a Christian representative, you have to live at a different standard.  Here was the statement from the Miss California Organization, “The Miss California USA Organization, in conjunction with the Miss Universe Organization and with the blessing of its owner, Mr. Donald J. Trump, announced today the termination of Carrie Prejean as Miss California USA 2009, citing continued breach of contract issues.”

UPDATE:  May 1st, 2009  My support for Carrie Prejean is waning.  Last night, I watched Ms. Prejean being interviewed by Greta Van Sustren.  Greta asked Miss California her opinion on civil unions.  Several times Ms. Prejean answered that she was not a politician and needed to study the matter more.  Hmm…why was this not her answer at the pageant then?  Greta asked for her opinion – the same thing I have supported her for giving at the pageant.  Now I think she is catering to the group that is using her new found fame to support their fight against gay marriage.  After all, she did say at the pageant that this is America and people could choose what they want.  And even worse, she appears to have turned her back on the cause she had promised herself to: the Special Olympics.  And her promoters are none too happy.  When you turn your back on the disabled for your fame, I take issue with you.

As a Christian conservative gay woman, I feel that I should comment on the controversy that occured at the Miss USA contest.  Despicable gay activist Perez Hilton was a judge on the panel at the event.  Let me be clear that this man does not represent the gay community in whole and most definately does not represent me.  For one, he should never have asked a question about gay marriage at this type of event.  Politics do not belong at a beauty contest.  But even if that was acceptable to me, the reaction of this twit to the answer is atrocious.

Miss California was asked her opinion about gay marriage and I have to commend her for sticking to her convictions.  And her conviction is that marriage should be between a man and a woman.  She answered in a pleasant way explaining that she did not want to offend anyone.  That was a fair answer.  I applaud her for sticking to her principles.  Perez Hilton handled the situation quite differently.  He blasted Miss California on the internet calling her a dumb b%$#%.  Charming indeed.  What is most laughable to me is that I am sure Hilton is one of those gay men who stays in a relationship for five minutes.  I could be wrong, but I doubt that.

As I have stated before, I believe government should have nothing to do with marriage, period.  It should be something between the couple, their church and their God.  Defining marriage as being between a man and a woman is fine with me.  Marriage has lost its lustre as far as I am concerned anyway since half of them end in divorce.  What I do believe should happen on the legal end of things is contracts for unions for straights and gays.  It should be just as difficult for straight people to be together as it is for gay people.  A couple would enter into a contract that gives all the legal rights and inheritance issues to each other.  That couple could be any two people, so even if an older widowed parent enters into the contract with their single offspring in order to obtain benefits that is fine with me.  I do not even have a problem with polygamy, but when it comes to the contract only one spouse can enter into the contract.  I am a Libertarian in this area and believe live and let live.

I have a right to my opinion and Miss California has a right to hers and should not be thrashed for it or even be marked down in a competition for her answer.  As for Perez Hilton – go crawl under a rock where you belong, Snake.

President Obama Chooses Against Life Once Again

March 10, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Anyone notice that President Obama appears to have a stack of items in front of him that are bills and proposals from the Bush presidency and that he is reversing every single one of them?  He should have run on that one promise alone because it appears to be the most important issue to him.  Forget about banks and the economy and those little “gyrations” of the stock market.  The latest reversal is President Bush’s policy on embryonic stem cell research.  There are two issues at the heart of this hot topic.

The first that should matter to every American whether you are anti-life or pro-life is that this research will be federally funded.  That means more of your tax money going to an unproven science at a time when you need to be keeping more of your money.

The second and most important is the matter of life.  I believe life begins at conception and so I believe all embryos should be protected.  I am against fertility clinics discarding these human lives period.  Thus, I am against them being used for experimentation.

And before anyone rails on me about being anti-science, nothing could be further from the truth.  I studied Wildlife Biology as my major and have loved science.  I am all for medical research.  That is why I totally support using adult stem cells which appear to be working.  Not only is there the fact that using your own stem cells will prevent rejection, but studies on earlier lines of embryonic stem cells reveal a higher rate of tumor growth.  And President Bush did not completely ban embryonic stem cell research.  He allowed it on stem lines created before August 9, 2001.  Where are the positive results from experimentation on those lines that would support a need for further research?  Instead what we have are words from the president like “results remain unknown” and this could “possibly” work.  When it comes to life, I do not work in possibles.

I know people are suffering, but that is no reason to act hastily in this area.  How can a mother say something to the effect that this little life form over here must give its life so my child does not have to suffer?  And how many people suffer because they cannot have children who would benefit from these embryos being adopted out?

When it comes to the president on this issue, I am not surprised.  He allows babies born during botched abortions to be left to die, so an embryo really is meaningless to him.  And the hypocrisy of the left never surprises me either.  They will protest against animal testing (which I am against as well) and yet allow these human lives to be destroyed during testing.  Animal life is far more important than human life you know.

CSPAN’s Washington Journal Now Reflects True America

March 1, 2009 · Leave a Comment

I usually try to catch bits of the Washington Journal on CSPAN on Sunday mornings to hear a diverse cross-section of American political opinion.  This morning I could not help but notice that the traditional three call-in lines that are usually labeled, “Democrats”, “Republicans” and “Independents” now are labeled, “Liberals”, “Conservatives” and “Moderates”.  The country is shifting away from party politics to value politics and the Wasington Journal is now reflecting that.  And I believe the reason why is because conservatives are finally standing up and making our voices heard.  We are not letting the GOP just speak for us anymore since it has drifted from its conservative roots.

Message to the GOP:  Come back to us or we are leaving and that will spell utter failure for you.

We’re Angry And We’re Not Going To Take It Anymore!

February 19, 2009 · 5 Comments

President Obama has been in office a little over a month and while liberals and the MSM praise him for his quick actions and bold moves, the core of America is thinking something quite different in regards to the socialistic plans that have been crammed down the collective American throat.  And that is exactly what Obama wants us to be – one big collective.  He even said that we are all collectively responsible in this housing mess.  I listened to radio program after radio program today with countless American people calling in who have hit their last nerve with this housing plan of the President’s.  We’re pissed!  And we are not going to take it lying down.

In December I wrote a blog that we needed a modern day Boston Tea Party.  Americans across the country are holding their own protests.  Michelle Malkin has been reporting about the varios uprisings.  So far Seattle, Mesa and Denver have had their’s and it sounds like Kansas is up next.  No wonder since they are getting IOUs for tax returns.  Florida has something perculating here in the center of the state.  I will keep everyone posted.

This morning on CNBC’s Squawk Box, Rick Santelli went into a rant that I found myself cheering aloud because he was telling the truth – something usually missing on NBC and its affiliates.  Capitalism is not dead.  You can find the video of the rant here.

I’ll keep my freedom, you can keep the change President Obama!

The Conservatives Need A New Playbook

February 16, 2009 · 1 Comment

What conservatives face in this battle for liberty requires the use of a new playbook.  I have heard many conservatives and regular average Americans belly-aching about our inability to stop the ramrodding of socialism upon “we the people”.  Our adversaries on the left side have a great ability to organize and get their message out.  They have the ability to get people out to the polls.  They have a way of hiding the truth behind their actions.  President Barack Obama and his ilk follow a community activism playbook that seems to be paying off quickly and decisively.  In my postings about Obama’s Brownshirts, I discussed a man named Saul Alinsky who is one of Obama’s mentors and I believe the President probably carries Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals” around with him everywhere he goes.  Here are some of those rules:

RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood. (Ever notice how government and corporations try to appeal to people using economic arguments?  Is this not the tactic that liberals use when they use class warfare?)

RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone. (Radicals avoid addressing real issues because they generally lack knowledge in those areas.)

RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (How many organizations that have been the focus of activists get blindsided by irrelevent issues?)

RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules. (Notice how many issues the President and Congress have been throwing at conservatives and the American people all at once.  Millions have become billions and now trillions, so people are no longer shocked by the numbers and they are also completely confused with the numbers.  Two hundred plus additional pages were added to the final stimulus plan making it impossible for our representatives to know what they were actually voting about.)

RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (This has been the constant refrain from the left.  Ridicule of the former president became a sport of sorts for them.  Ridicule of the Republicans for not voting for the porkulus bill has been the focus of press announcement after press announcement.)

RULE 6:  “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.

RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news.  (New tactics include things like taking over the 2010 Census, forming new cabinet positions and forming new task forces and corps.)

RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Again, this is why Obama appears to be getting so much done in his first few weeks.  This same kind of badgering was used against Sarah Palin by the leftist media.)

RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Obviously, this has become the main theme of the Obama administration with the constant drum beat of catastrophe and dire warnings that all is lost economically if we don’t let the government save us.   The global warming/climate change threat as well.)

RULE 10: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog. (Unions are an example of a group that used this tactic in their heyday to win public sympathy.  Socialism is a negative that the government has made a positive, ie: universal healthcare.)

RULE 11: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem.

RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (The liberals and progressives have used miniorities and the poor in this way for decades.  They keep them isolated and make them feel that no one cares to obtain the left’s objectives.)

Alinsky believed in rubbing “raw the sores of discontent.”  This was the President’s reason for visiting Elkhart, Indiana and Ft. Myers, Florida.  Remind those people how bad they have it and how government can save them.  And the people eat it up.  Saul Alinsky also wrote the following statements in his book:

“Here I propose to present an arrangement of certain facts and general concepts of change, a step toward a science of revolution.”

“The Prince was written by Machiavelli for the Haves on how to hold power. Rules for Radicals is written for the Have-nots on how to take it away.”"My aim here is to suggest how to organize for power: how to get it and how ot use it.”

“Organization for action will now and in the decade ahead center upon America’s white middle class. That is where the power is.”

“Our rebels have contemptuously rejected the values and the way of life of the middle class. They have stigmatized it as materialistic, decadent, bourgeois, degenerate, imperialistic, war-mongering, brutalized and corrupt. They are right; but we must begin from where we are if we are to build power for change, and the power and the people are in the middle class majority.”

“All effective action requires the passport of morality.”  No doubt this is why Obama talks about ethics and a new way of running government and yet corruption and tax cheats and other immoral characters surround him and are part of his administration.  As long as he talks the good talk, then the people will believe it.

So it is obvious that conservatives have an uphill battle and the RINOs of Congress and the lack of conservativism from the Bush Adminstration have put us in a bad spot.  But we can make an incredible comeback.  We must go forward with a new kind of playbook that really is not new.  We must pull out those founding principles and remind people what liberty is.  We must continue to shine the light of truth on Obama’s and the left’s tactics and show people the complete failure of socialism.  We need leaders that stir the souls of a sleeping people.  We must start a new revolution, not one of blood and war, but one of information.  We must debate with our fellow liberals and put them in a place where their ignorance is revealed.  We must present ideas that may not be so fresh and new, but that have worked in the past.  We must get people to awaken to their common sense.  I hope and pray that Michael Steele will be one of those leaders that can bring us to this place.

We must open up the GOP to a place where miniorities feel comfortable because the heritage of the Republican Party is one of civil rights.  We must remind the people of this.  The left fears us and we know this because of the Fairness Doctrine and their desire to shut down conservative voices.  We know this because they ramrod legislation without letting the public know the details until it is too late to do anything about it.

They fear us and we must use that to our advantage!

A Life Worth Noting

December 2, 2008 · 1 Comment

I occassionally find myself scanning through the Obituary section of the local paper.  One of the reasons why is a morbid fascination with mortality, mainly my own, and I like to note any younger people that have passed away and perhaps the cause of death.  It is always a relief to see that most people who are being remembered lived very long lives.  This Sunday I came upon an obituary that I just have to share because it is so timely and says so much in a little space.  The man’s name is Lewis Michael Bush and I hope his family doesn’t mind me sharing this piece on his life that they chose to share with the Orlando Sentinel community.

“He was born in Szeged, Hungary in 1927.  In 1948, at age 21, determined to live in freedom, he escaped Soviet communist tyranny by walking through a minefield on the Austrian border known then as the ‘Iron Curtain’.  Two years later he was admitted to the United States and settled in Miami.”  (It discusses his wife and children here.)  “After the 1956 Hungarian Revolt, Lewis’ two brothers fled here in God’s good time, even his parents were released and the entire family was reunited in Florida for a few happy years.  Lewis lived for the American dream by working during the day and studying at night, earning his BA and MA at the University of Miami and a PhD in Comparative Literature at the University of Maryland.  He enjoyed a life-long teaching career of English and Literature at the University of Miami, Gulf Coast Community College and Jannus Pannonius University in Hungary.  In retirement he enjoyed the peace of pine woods and swamps near the Ochlocknee and Apalachicola rivers in northwest Florida.  He was an avid historian especially of the American Civil War.”  The rest is a summary of those he leaves behind.

This was such a refreshing read for me in a time where we see our country on the brink of socialism as bailout after bailout is handed out – the auto industry soon to be the next recipient – and people wanting the government to fix their problems.  This man risked his life for what many take for granted – freedom.  He worked tirelessly to better himself and use the opportunities that this great country afforded him.  He assimilated so much that our personal war – The Civil War – became his favorite historical topic.  This is a life worth noting and following in the footsteps of and a lesson as to where socialism can and will lead – Communism.  If America slides into that abyss, then where will the world, including us, run to?
