Progressives Push Only Their Free Speech And Free Press

I always find it amazing how the Progressives, who are suppose to be moving us forward with progress I think, allow only free speech and free press if it is their free speech or opinions they agree with.  We witnessed this throughout the summer as they attacked Tea Party attendees, shut us out of townhalls and regularly attacked conservative commentators.  Obama seems to have his own version of Woodrow Wilson’s American Protective League on the Progressive side of the aisle.  The mainstream media continues to shill out progressive ideology and attacks on conservatives as they ignore leaked emails that prove global warming to be a farce and ignore the corruption inside of groups like ACORN and even the corruption within the Democrat Party.

The scandals of the century have taken place over the past year.  It has been amazing to watch them all unfold from the previously mentioned ACORN and global warming scandals to the people that are part of the Obama administration like Mao-loving Anita Dunn and Marxist Van Jones.  And which news organization has brought all of this darkness into the light?  FOX News, of course.  There has been a concerted effort to shut down FOX News and now there is a new drive to replace FOX programming.  Marxist website BuzzFlash has started this intiative to stifle free speech and free press.  Here is the pledge they are asking their moonbat followers to take:

I promise to actively work to have FOX “News” replaced with other programming whenever I see it aired. In public settings, I will seek to influence businesses to change the channel. As a BuzzFlash FOX guerilla protestor, I will do my best to decease the growing and pernicious presence in public settings of a television station that undermines American democracy and basic civility.

And their reason for having this kind of drive is:

Take the pledge! Stop the spread of the FOX cancer by getting it turned off in public places: such as pubs, doctor’s offices, airports and restaurants. Become an ambassador to decrease the influence of FOX’s misinformation and propaganda. This is BuzzFlash’s first advocacy project and we need a national guerilla squad of individuals who will join us in various strategies to stop the spread of FOX into public settings. In the coming months, we’ll be advising you on how to ask nicely to change the news channel, leave flyers warning people about FOX “News” damaging brain cells, and many more strategies to come, including a device that can turn TV sets off from up to 50 feet away!

Sounds like a Marxist Utopia to me.  Only let the people hear what we want them to hear.  There can be no freedom for people to make up their own minds.  There can be no fairness and balance, except if we are talking the wealthy, then we need fairness and balance with everybody bordering on poverty so they look to us for all their needs and keep us in power.  Unless you are truly a Marxist, how can you support this kind of behavior?  This is not American.  America is about liberty.  We do not shut down the Marxist.  We let them blather on like the idiots they are – mainly because they dig their own graves.  History proves that only freedom works.  Totalitarian regimes always fall.  Empires crash.  People are starved or slaughtered within Marxism.  Only freedom allows people to be prosperous.  Only freedom allows the opportunity for success.

Thank you to all of you who have supported my blog by either reading it, blogrolling it, linking to articles, backtracking to me and commenting.  You are all greatly appreciated.  I am thankful to God for my life and the sacrifice of his son, Jesus Christ, that my life may continue into eternity.  I am thankful to God for all the great blessings in my life, which include all of my family and friends, my two pups, my unalienable rights and all the necessities of life.  I am thankful that I have work and plenty of it that I am able to share with those who do not.  I am thankful to our military personnel who allow me to live safely in a free country that affords me the ability to enjoy my blessings.  I am thankful that I live in a country in which I am able to speak out freely via this blog, my radio show and at protests and rallies.  Because of my gratitude I am fortified and even more resolute in my fight to save this country from the destructive forces of socialism, Marxism, nepotism, corruption, godlessness, greed, envy and apathy.  May God bless you this Thanksgiving and God bless America!

In the past I have posted Washington’s Thanksgiving Proclamation, this year I bring you Abraham Lincoln’s and I hope that you will join me on August 28th at his feet with other Americans who desire to keep this country the way God designed it to be:

Taxpayers Fund Lavish State Dinner For Leftists

Despite the fact that America is crawling out of the worst recession ever according to our President, he still managed to pull off a lavish state dinner on our dime.  A typical state dinner hosts 150 guests, but not a state dinner hosted by the Obamas.  Oh no, not our American royalty.  They hosted 320 guests and had to set up a tent outside of the White House to hold everyone.  And the guest list was enough to make this conservative reach for her duct tape.  Can we say, “Pay off?”

There was PlastiGirl with hubby in tow (does he really kiss that face?), Steven Spielberg, Brian Williams, Katie Couric, Deepak Chopra, Gen. Colin Powell (who votes based on race), Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and of course, India’s prime minister, Manmohan Singh who was the guest of honor.  Rahm Emanuel was also there and he brought his brother Ari, famous for wanting to set up death panels to rid  us of the handicapped and dementia stricken elderly (a group to which my grandmother belongs).  Chicago’s Breaking News Center claimed that the first lady was “the picture of elegance.”  Hmmm…the tape I watched of her and Obama entering the event made me think they had just had a fight (neither smiled) and she in particular appeared to have just eaten a lemon.  Oh wait, that is the expression typically on her face all the time.

The most interesting detail of the evening to me was that Oprah’s wife, Gayle King, showed up for the event, but there was no Oprah.  Was Oprah not invited?!  Her interview with Sarah Palin did not have anything to do with that, did it?  After all, Oprah did not excoriate Palin as the Obamas would have wished.

Arugula was on the menu.  This was an elitist crowd after all.  I watched a state senator who was of Indian descent on Fox & Friends this morning regaling the evening and all I could think was, oh yeah we have the Indian leader here, better invite all the Indian people in America who hold office or happen to be famous.  After all, a state senator was invited to this party?!  And he was not from Chicago.  Many rich Chicagoans were invited as well.  That is where Obama cut his Thugocracy teeth after all.

Prime Minister Singh toasted Obama and declared that his visit to the White House had captured the imaginations of millions of Indians and claimed that Obama was an inspiration because of his value of democracy, diversity and equal opportunity.  Here…you can borrow my duct tape.

9/11 Lawyer Cannot Even Admit Murder Occurred In NY

Scott Fenstermaker, the lawyer representing one of the 9/11 terrorists who will stand trial in New York City, appeared on the O’Reilly Factor last night and played a bob and weave game with Bill O’Reilly.  O’Reilly pressed him on issue after issue and the lawyer side stepped answers and the answer of the evening that revealed this lawyer to be a hack came after O’Reilly asked Fenstermaker if he felt the 9/11 victims were murdered.  Fenstermaker would not answer the question and said it was up to the jury to decide.  I understand that when a lawyer represents individuals that he/she needs to be careful with what they say, but what American cannot admit that murder occured in NY?  O’Reilly did not ask if he thought his client had committed murder.  What a waste of human skin!

Fenstermaker represents Ali Abd al-Aziz Ali and met with the terrorist at GITMO.  He was to represent Ali in the military tribunal until Attorney General Eric Holder decided to make a spectacle of the trial and put the prior administration and CIA on trial and so decided to move the trials to civilian court in NY.  Now Fenstermaker is revealing that his client plans to plead not guilty and his defense will be that the attacks were justified.  They should put the President on the stand because I am sure he would make a good case for the 9/11 terrorists since he has spent the better part of this last year apologizing for America around the world.

The fact that Ali plans to plead not guilty opens up the possibility of acquittal – something we have all feared.  And since rumor has it that the terrorists plan to represent themselves with lawyers advising, this trial will be a circus with the terrorists given the ability to spew their rhetoric.  I hope these libtards are pleased with what they are about to do to the American people, especially the 9/11 families.  I do not know how anyone can believe that the Obama administration has any integrity or principles anymore and if this is not the final nail in Obama’s coffin, I do not know what it will take.  More than likely another 9/11 attack, which our President seems to be paving the way to allow to happen.

Glenn Beck’s Plan From The Villages

Glenn Beck announced this past week that he had formulated a plan to take back America and that he would be sharing it at his book signing at The Villages on Saturday (today).  So I made my way north and brought the Geritol with me.  It was a beautiful day in The Villages as they say.  Glenn arrived a little before four eastern time and was met by an energetic crowd of what I would estimate to be about 6,000 people.  There possibly were more, but I could not see the entire crowd.  The center square where Glenn held his rally is the same one that hosted Sarah Palin during the campaign.  It is an internal park area, but is surrounded by streets and sidewalks, which people had spilled out onto.  They only issued 2,000 wristbands for the book signing and I was one of the lucky recipients.

Glenn gave a stirring and passionate speech and laid out an outline of the plan he has for us to take back America.  It is a 100 year plan and he pointed out the reason that his plan is set against so many years is that it took us a long time to get here and will take much time to dismantle the Progressive structure around us.  After all, we have just made the first step of finally having the opportunity to audit the Fed, so the idea that we could abolish it overnight is unrealistic.

Glenn has assembled a large team of experts broken into groups of three according to each area of expertise, for example there are money experts and community organizing experts.  Glenn is breaking the country into seven regions and each region will host a convention that will be a full day or possibly a weekend of education about our history and the different areas of expertise.  The first convention will be held in Orlando on March 27th.  For the other regions, Glenn is setting up an area on his site for people to vote which city in each region they would like to have host the next convention.

These conventions will culminate in a huge gathering at the feet of Abraham Lincoln in Washington DC on August 28th.  Glenn is hoping to have several thousand, I am hoping for millions, so that our representatives will be forced to listen to us.  We will be an educated and angry mob hell-bent to take back our country peacefully.  Glenn gave us our first action step, which is to be an example in your individual life.  He pointed out that if you are in debt, get out of debt.  We need to take personal responsibility so that we can hold DC responsible.

It was a very motivating speech and then the book signing started.  This is the second time I have attended a Glenn Beck book signing.  It was great getting to shake his hand and thank him again.  This time, though, I added something else.  I held Glenn’s hand to make sure he heard me and I said, “Glenn, I am part of another non-existent group: gay conservatives.  We stand with you too.”  Glenn looked me in the eye and held onto my hand and pulled me towards him and said, “God bless you.”

When it comes to freedom and the Constitution, it really does not matter who we are.  We are all in this fight together and it is going to take each and every one of us.  Thank you to Glenn for being our inspiration!   I just finished this as news broke that the Senate got the 60 votes to move ReidCare into debate – now more than ever – WE ARE AT WAR!

UPDATE:  The Villages paper, The Daily Sun, reports that 25,000 people were in attendance – I guess I was a little off.

Harry Reid Ready To Inflict ReidCare On America

The Mouse of the Senate surrounded by the jackasses - especially Franken

Tonight Senator Reid has introduced ReidCare that comes in heftier than PelosiCare at a whopping 2,047 pages and a cost of $849 billion.  This version barely resembles the bill that came out of committee.  Reid added an insurance exchange to the bill that contains the government option, which should keep Olympia Snowe from voting for the bill if she is a woman of her word.  She is a RINO, so I doubt it.  The bill also contains the abortion funding, although Reid has cloaked it in an unusual way.  This bill offers a side-by-side option that allows the individual to choose whether they want abortion coverage or not.  Meaning that the government will still be funding abortions with tax payer dollars.   The MediCare cuts exist in this bill as well as the income tax increases on the wealthy.  Supposedly, the CBO will be announcing that ReidCare will reduce deficits by $127 billion.  This analysis does not include the MediCare funding cuts to doctors though that will have to be made up with tax dollars.  Or we could just not pay the doctors and see how quickly they retire.  This also does not take into account that no entitlement program has ever cut deficits and usually ends up costing 200 times initial estimates.  But why bother with details…

Senator Reid said tonight during the announcement, “Tonight begins the last leg of this journey.”  Yesterday, Reid claimed that this bill would be the best of all the bills we have seen and that if we are not “impressed, we should be.”

I am not impressed.  Obama welcomed Reid’s action, saying, “Today, thanks to the Senate’s hard work, we’re closer than ever to enacting solutions to these problems. I look forward to working with the Senate and House to get a finished bill to my desk as soon as possible.”

Senator Mitch McConnell’s response was, “The bill has been behind closed doors for weeks.  Now, it’s America’s turn, and this will not be a short debate. Higher premiums, tax increases and Medicare cuts to pay for more government. The American people know that is not reform.”

A vote on whether to start debate on the bill is expected to come before the week ends and then the Senate breaks for Thanksgiving.  This means we have work to do over the Thanksgiving break making sure that ReidCare never comes to a vote and if it does, that it fails.  We cannot allow these socialist elitist pigs to foist this on our country!  I am sorry for my verbage, but I am done with these people.  Damn near all of them.  Did anybody else notice that the Repubs gave up the ghost on Judge Hamilton who believes that judges can amend the Constitution from the bench and that he thinks the Founding Fathers expected that?  This guy will be one seat away from the Supreme Court and the lily-livered GOP gave up.  Stand up you fools!  Are we the only ones who care out here?  You can be just as gone in 2010 as the Dems.

Ronald Reagan Comic Book Coming Soon!

I know that I am a girl and should not be a fan of comic books, but I have loved them since I was kid.  I loved having such great visuals to go with such great stories.  I loved them all from Archie, horror genre and, of course, the superhero comics.  I am a DC person, but do enjoy the occassional Marvel and independent.  I know comics are not for everyone, but soon there will be a comic that every conservative will want to have a copy of not only for themselves, but for their kids as well.  There is no better way to introduce indoctrinated kids to one of the best American presidents – Ronald Reagan – than a comic book.

Bluewater Productions will be releasing Political Power Ronald Reagan, written by Don Smith who has made a name for himself interviewing creators and performers in the world of science fiction, comic books and entertainment with CosmicBookNews.com, ToyFare magazine and Wizard Entertainment. Newt Gingrich Helping With Another “Contract With America”

Upon hearing that Newt Gingrich is advising on another “contract with America”, I find myself screaming “NO!”  Gingrich helped pen the first Contract With America, which was highly successful and appeared to get the Republican Party back on track.  Now the GOP has backslidden once again – how many times do we have to put up with this – and Gingrich wants to help with a new contract.  The reason why I have no desire for Gingrich to do this work is that he is not a loyal conservative.  He has been proven to be a man who does what is politically expedient to his purposes and for the Republican Party.  Even if that means backing an ACORN endorsed lefty claiming to be Republican like Dede Scozzafavva who ran in the NY23 race.

And with Michael Steele, Chairman of the RNC, leading the way on this new contract I find myself doubting that this will make the change in the GOP that conservatives are demanding.  I do not trust empty words on paper anymore.  I observe the deeds of a group and judge them by those actions and the GOP has yet to prove that they are interested in going back to their conservative principles.  They have made the first step by claiming that they will stay out of races until after primaries have been finished.  We’ll see if that proves to be the truth.

Gingrich had the following to say this weekend at C-SPAN’s Cable Center Class about this new endeavor, “I’ve been talking with Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.  He is developing a first principles model that I think is a very exciting , positive step in the right direction.  By September , it might be very, very good for the Republicans in the House and Senate to have a common ground on which to campaign, whether they call it a Contract for America or some other device.  Having a positive set of things that say, ‘if you elect us, these are the positive steps we will take that may well be the key building block to really become the alternative party, not the opposition party.  If the Democrats stay stuck over on a very left-wing program and if they continue to have a job-killing record in Congress, I think by September and October you could suddenly have a very exciting election.”

Gingrich is ready to go forward with four principles, which are as follows: “The No. 1 issue is jobs… The No. 2 issue is energy… The No. 3 challenge… replace the big government monstrosity that they passed on Saturday ( a reference to the Democratic-led House healthcare bill. “The No. 4 challenge is education.”

National security seems like it should be on this list before education and even healthcare reform, which has to pass anyway.  And does anyone believe that Gingrich plans to deal with the criminal invaders in this country?  They are connected to jobs, national security, healthcare and education.  They are detrimental to each.  Gingrich, go back to your American Solutions (which I no longer link to) and stay out of this conservative battle.  We can handle the Democrats just fine, we do not need either you or Steele.

Rationed Healthcare For Elderly Already Starting

Our government is trying to convince everyone that H1N1 is a huge threat to all of us and that we all need to be getting vaccinated.  They have emphasized that pregnant women, children and the elderly need to be vaccinated and will be vaccinated first.  If you have a pre-existing health condition that would increase your risks if you contract H1N1, then you are also heavily encouraged to get vaccinated.  Unfortunately, the government is running the H1N1 vaccination program like they run everything else – very poorly.  Thus, there are very few vaccine shots available.  This has lead to…wait for it…rationing.

I heard a story on the radio of a man who wrote Rush Limbaugh that he has a medical condition that required his need for an H1N1 shot according to his doctor.  There was a problem; however, because his doctor only had three shots available and so this gentleman was going to have to go through the system to get permission to get the shot.  It turns out that the man was too old and sick to be given the shot and that this county was focusing on pregnant women.

I would have thought that story was either preposterous or isolated if it were not for my personal experience.  My seventy-something mother-in-law has emphysema.  While she was visiting a couple of weeks ago, I attempted to find a place where she could get a shot.  Shots here in my area were only being given to pregnant women.  She figured when she got home to her doctor she would easily be given a shot.  After all, her doctor is out of National Jewish, which is the premiere lung hospital in the country.  Guess what?  She was denied a shot because of her age.  They are only giving shots to younger people.

Now I do not know if this is happening in states across this country, but obviously it is happening in several cities.  And this all lends credence to the fears that elderly people have been expressing at townhalls about rationed heathcare for them and to the death panels that liberals are trying to convince us are just figments of Sarah Palin’s imagination.  The truth is that ObamaCare will lead to rationing beyond a doubt and common sense tells everyone that it is the aged and sick who will be pushed aside because they will not be “worth” it.
