Hezbollah Sneaking Into America Via Mexico’s Drug Routes

Sara Carter, who is a reporter at the Washington Times, has broken a story that is not surprising when looking at our border security, but it is unsettling.  The terrorist group Hezbollah has been working alongside drug cartels and using the drug routes from Mexico into the United States to enter our country illegally.  Hezbollah is the Iran-backed terrorist group out of Lebanon.  Apparently, Hezbollah has been involved in narcotics and human trafficking throughout South America for many years.  Recently though, Hezbollah has been using Mexican drug cartels to access routes into America.

A retired assistant administrater and chief of operations at the DEA, Michael Braun, claims that Hezbollah relies on “the same criminal weapons smugglers, document traffickers and transportation experts as the drug cartels.  They work together.  They rely on the same shadow facilitators. One way or another, they are all connected.  They’ll leverage those relationships to their benefit, to smuggle contraband and humans into the U.S.; in fact, they already are [smuggling].”

Most officials believe that Hezbollah is crossing into America for monetary purposes and not terrorist attacks, but the thought that a terrorist group is able to come and go through our borders is frightening.  And when one considers the violence our border towns and states are having to endure because of these drug cartels and drug smuggling, one has to question what happens if this violence follows the way of terrorist groups.

And so we wait for our government to finally do something to protect this country.  We have cried out for years for a fence to be built and nothing is done.  Hillary Clinton is our Secretary of State and Janet Napalitano is our Homeland Security Secretary and neither of these women are strong on defense.  One only has to look at the mess Arizona is in with violence and kidnappings to know that Napalitano is unqualified for the job she  now holds.

The Obama Budget Fight Is On!

This week the monstrosity that Barack Obama has called his “Budget” is coming to a vote in Congress.  Last week, we witnessed much debate over the specifics in the budget and we witnessed the Republicans’ amendments and ideas get shot down.  The Heritage Foundation has a ton of great information on the different areas of the budget to arm yourself with and can be found here.

The Congressional Budget Office has even come out against the Obama Budget.  They are non-partisan and are the experts in this area.  The President would do well to listen to them.

Also, the President accused the Republicans of shooting down his budget and not presenting an idea of their own.  That all changed last week as the GOP unveiled their Republican Road to Recovery.  You can download a copy of that here.  The Republican leadership also held a press conference last week explaining their ideas.  Investor’s Business Daily has written a great article on the Republican Budget and here is an excerpt:

“Similarly, Ronald Reagan’s response to the deep recession early in his presidency was to cut income tax rates by 25% and lower the capital gains tax rate to 20% from 25%. A massive expansion ensued, extending well beyond his two terms. Today, House Minority Leader John Boehner, GOP Conference chairman Mike Pence and their colleagues want to prescribe the same medicine for what ails us.  With Democrats trying to sneak a sweeping overhaul of the country’s medical system into law, including a government-run health plan that would unfairly compete against private insurers, the GOP is offering ‘tax incentives for millions more working families and small-business owners to obtain access to coverage.’ The GOP plan would also let people ‘shop across state lines to purchase affordable policies that best meet their needs.’”

This is the time now to call the representatives in Washington and tell them that we do not stand behind this budget that will leave not only myself, but everyone’s children and grandchildren in debt for the rest of their lives.  And this Democrat budget very well could leave America as a second-rate country instead of the world leader that we should be.

McCain Talks About Palin On Meet The Press 3-29-09

I would just like to inform Senator McCain that the groundswell movement of conservatives wanting to take back the GOP and renew it to core conservative principles that made it a once great party would like for him to shut the hell up and that we could care less what he sees as the GOP’s future or who he would like to see as president.  You blew it this Fall and you blew it because you are no conservative and tried to bamboozle the Republicans into thinking you were leaning that way.  particularly with the Sarah Palin pick as running mate.  But your actions since losing the campaign both in your political moves and treatment of Palin have been eye opening.

Senator McCain appeared on “Meet the Press” with David Gregory on Sunday and he was asked a series of questions on the direction the GOP should go in the future and who he saw in leadership.  McCain said that he likes the current division in the Party and thinks it is a positive thing.  Does anyone believe that?  He does not want the conservatives getting a foothold and he knows it.  He claims that he is ready to work with the President on immigration reform and since we know they both favor amnesty, that is not a plus in my book.  Gregory played a tape of some Republican Startegist named Mike Murphy who claimed that Reagan would not win in today’s demographic.  Why, because our country has left its principles?  This man is a bonehead.

Finally, Gregory asked McCain if he would support Sarah Palin in 2012 if she decided to run for president and he said, “I’d like to see Sarah compete…I’d have to see who the candidates are and what the situation is at the time.”  To any thinking conservative that means, “No.”  This man still thinks he got the conservative vote because of himself.  I myself tell people that I voted for Sarah Palin, not McCain.

Patient’s Rights Group Urges Americans To Scrutinize Obama’s Healthcare Plan

Rick Scott, who founded the group Conservatives for Patients’ Rights Action Group, has directed the group to launch an ad campaign asking “we the people” to pay attention and demand that Congress not approve the $634 billion health care plan that is part of Obama’s putrid budget.  Particularly since that plan has no architecture for the plan or details.  Scott pointed out that the President has not provided any specifics on the plan.  All we have heard the President say about this number in his budget is that it is some kind of downpayment.

Scott said in a statement, “After the embarrassment of the AIG bonus scandal, these same people are now talking about ramming a $634 billion health care plan through Congress, and we still don’t have any details.  It makes no sense. Congress is being asked to appropriate $634 billion for a plan neither it nor the public has seen. We are talking here about changing health care for every American with no debate. It should not be fast-tracked, the American people have the right to read the President’s plan before our representatives are asked to appropriate over $600 billion of our hard earned money.”  But this is the way Barack Obama has ruled his little country.  No details needed, just listen to his grandiose rhetoric and follow along.  What could possibly go wrong?

Scott also added, “This is the same expedited process that took place with the stimulus plan, that lead to the surprises over the AIG bonuses. I say no more surprises! Congress should slow down and reject the $634 billion in health care spending until they have seen the details.”  I say they should reject the Obama Budget period and adopt the GOP’s budget, but fat chance of that even getting to see the light of day.

Supposedly, President Barack Obama plans to pay for his universal healthcare with tax increases and payments from insurers, hospitals, doctors and drug manufacturers.  The truth is that the American people will all be paying for this “free” healthcare and I am not just referring to monetary payment.

Must See Video: We The People Stimulus Package

YES! YES! YES!  There are a ton of Tea Parties on April 15th – find one and attend it.  Washington must see us out in numbers and know that we will not take their crap anymore!

Republicans Betray Principles And Help Pass HR1388/S277: GIVE Act

This noxious GIVE Act Bill, which is involuntary servitude, passed the House this week with a vote of 321-105.  Last night, it passed the Senate with a vote of 79-19.  That means alot of Republicans voted for this thing.  Here are some of the things that have been included in this bill and I wonder if any of our representatives bothered to read this bill just as none of them read the Porkulus Bill:

First, they changed the name of the GIVE Act to “The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, an Act to reauthorize and reform the national service laws”.  So our new “Slavery Act” is named for Kennedy and the “Death Act” (universal healthcare) will be named for him as well.

Then Senator David Vitter introduced Amendment 705 which would prohibit ACORN from receiving funds under this Act.  The amendment was tabled meaning that ACORN will receive funds from this bill.

Then there is this kind of language which has me scratching my head: (A)(i) the number of undergraduate and, if applicable, graduate service-learning courses offered at such institution for the most recent full academic year preceding the fiscal year for which designation is sought; and (E) any programs the institution has in place to encourage or assist graduates of the institution to pursue careers in public service in the nonprofit sector or governmentservice-learning curricula, consistent with State or local academic content standards, to be integrated into academic programs, including curricula for an age-appropriate learning component that provides participants an opportunity to analyze and apply their service experiences.

(F) establishing effective outreach and dissemination of information to ensure the broadest possible participation of schools throughout the State, throughout the territory, or serving the Indian tribe involved with particular attention to schools not making adequate yearly progress for two or more consecutive years under section 1111 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965

(5) developing, as service-learning programs, civic engagement programs that promote a better understanding of–
(A) the principles of the Constitution, the heroes of United States history (including military heroes), and the meaning of the Pledge of Allegiance;
(B) how the Nation’s government functions; and (C) the importance of service in the Nation’s character.

And then there is the House Amendment 49 which states:
AMENDMENT DESCRIPTION:
The amendments prohibits organizations from attempting to influence legislation; organize or engage in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes; and assist, promote, or deter union organizing.
AMENDMENT PURPOSE:
Amendment to prohibit organizations from attempting to influence legislation; organize or engage in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes; and assist, promote, or deter union organizing.

SEC. 125 (7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.  -What, no church attendance!?

So there goes the First Amendment in one fell swoop with this bill. And many Republicans are to blame. Anybody have feathers – I have the tar!  Here’s the Senate votes:

Appalachian Coalminers To Lose Jobs Thanks To Obama

President Obama has stated that he is going to save or create up to 4 million jobs, but it seems to me that more and more jobs are being lost.  IBM announced yesterday that they would be laying off 5,000 people.  And now, thanks to the climate change freaks and President Obama’s Environmental Protection Agency, 77,000 Appalachian coalminers are in danger of losing their jobs.  Expressing “serious concerns” about our environment, the EPA announced it was putting mountaintop mining permits on hold.  The National Mining Association (NMA) has said that this action may eliminate high-paying jobs in what is already a relatively poor area of the country.

“Jeopardizing coal mining activity throughout Appalachia will put more than 77,000 high-wage mining jobs at risk at a time when our nation is already battered by a deepening recession,” said NMA President and CEO Hal Quinn. “This action is incomprehensible at a time when the country is losing 600,000 jobs every month and households are struggling just to meet basic needs.”

The EPA does not approve of mountaintop mining because of the potentially harmful impacts on water quality.  Two specific coal mine operations have been targeted in West Virginia and Kentucky.  EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson said, “EPA will use the best science and follow the letter of the law in ensuring we are protecting our environment.”

The liberal group Earthjustice’s attorney, Jennifer Chavez, said,  “This is a strong signal that the Obama administration is taking the right steps towards recognizing the importance of sound science and the law when it comes to mountaintop removal mining.”  Sound science?!  Yeah, like all that sound science on global warming.  She continued that the EPA’s actions “demonstrate a fresh perspective on the need to completely review the destructive impact that mountaintop removal mining has on streams and water quality throughout Appalachia. This is a victory for the people of Appalachia and for one of the most fundamental goals of the Clean Water Act: to prevent our entire nation’s rivers, streams and lakes from being used as waste dumps.”

The NMA’s Quinn, “The EPA is holding up lawful permits for operations that are responsible for providing affordable coal-based electricity for 77 million households throughout the East. This action is bad for American jobs and for American energy security.”

Not to mention bad for our energy bills.  So much for saving these jobs.  Did you hear Obama’s response to a question today at his online townhall when a woman asked if overseas jobs would be coming home to America soon?  He basically said they would not be and we do not need them because he is going to be creating other jobs like jobs for electricians.  I think the jobs he is planning to create have everything to do with his Corps and nothing to do with the private sector.  He needs to have as many people working for the government as possible so they will vote for him in 2012 so they can keep their jobs.

Geithner Says America Open To Global Currency

Open mouth and insert foot.  Yesterday, during testimony on AIG and the power grab that the Treasury is seeking over all businesses in America, Geithner was questioned by Congresswoman Michele Bachman as to whether he would support a global currency.  Both Tax-Cheat-Geithner and Fed Chief Bernanke said they would not be open to that and that the dollar will remain the currency that all other economies in the world use as the reserve currency.  But today Geithner was singing a different tune when speaking to the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR).

Geithner said the U.S. is “open” to the proposal introduced by China’s central bank that called for a new reserve currency.  He said,  “I haven’t read the governor’s proposal. He’s a very thoughtful, very careful distinguished central banker. I generally find him sensible on every issue.”  Geithner did say he did not think that the new currency would take place in the literal sense. “We’re actually quite open to that suggestion – you should see it as rather evolutionary rather building on the current architecture rather than moving us to global monetary union.  The only thing concrete I saw was expanding the use of the [special drawing rights at the IMF]. Anything he’s thinking about deserves some consideration.”  Anything deserves consideration?!  He also added that the dollar staying as the reserve currency “depends..on how effective we are in the United States…at getting our fiscal system back to the point where people judge it as sustainable over time.”

Later Geithner clarified his remarks by stating that he does not see the dollar being unpegged from by the world’s economies and ”we will do what’s necessary to say we’re sustaining confidence in our financial markets.”

So is all this contradiction between yesterday’s testimony and today’s contradictory comments signal that Geithner is just an idiot and does not know what he is doing or is this some kind of cover?  Do they plan to create a global currency?  Did the dollar’s fall today cause him to change his remarks even though America truly is “open” to a global currency?  What is going on?  I am about to blow my top – get me some duct tape.

Everyday seems to fulfill more and more prophecy and it really does seem we are marching towards more than just socialism, we seem to be marching towards the end times.

War On Terror Now An Overseas Contingency Operation

As the Obama administration continues to roll back terms like “enemy combatant” and “War on Terror” and makes decisions to close Gitmo, one has to question just how secure we really are anymore.  A memo was sent to the Pentagon from the Department of Defense ordering an end to the phrase “Global War on Terror” and requesting that the phrase “Overseas Contingency Operation” be used instead.  This ambiguous term could mean anything from food drops to playing footsie with terrorist leaders as far as I am concerned.  Does the Obama administration really believe that terrorism is not a serious danger to us anymore?  Based on all the recent moves to overturn everything President Bush had set up, the only clear answer is, “Yes”.

The Obama administration had already turned to this downplay of the “War on Terror” last month having used the “Global Contingency Operation” phrase several times. Craig W. Duehring, assistant secretary of the Air Force for manpower, also used the new phrase last week when he said,  “Key battlefield monetary incentives has allowed the Air Force to meet the demands of overseas contingency operations even as requirements continue to grow,” during  Congressional testimony.

Wake me up when the insanity stops!
