President Obama Wants No Profits For Businesses

President Obama’s assault on capitalism continues.  The liberals continuously blame all the country’s woes on business without ever pointing the finger back at themselves.  Now I guess we are suppose to expect the economy will bounce back without business?  Yesterday, the president had a press conference with Treasury Secretary Geithner by his side and criticized Wall Street calling their behavior “the height of irresponsibility” because they had paid out more than $18 billion in bonuses last year.  You see, even if you have a contract that states you will receive a performance bonus and you earn it, you should not be paid it because your business had to seek a bailout.

Obama continued by claiming, “It is shameful.  And part of what we’re going to need is for the folks on Wall Street who are asking for help to show some restraint, and show some discipline, and show some sense of responsibility.”  If Wall Street has a contract, isn’t it responsible to honor that contract?  While I agree that it is difficult to hear about bonuses being paid out after my tax money has been used, this is the way business is run.  Incentives are used to raise performance in all areas of life.  It is a fact.

But even more troubling were these comments from the president which has me questioning his IQ and desire to bring America out of this recession, “There will be time for them to make profits, and there will be time for them to get bonuses.  Now is not that time.”  If now is not a time for bonuses when is the time!  Who is going to go into business without the chance of making a profit?  I’m sorry, but Obama has got to be an idiot to make a comment like that.  If no company in this country made a profit they would either all leave or go out of business and then that leaves us where?

President Obama is bad for business!  And I haven’t even discussed the labor handouts he offered this week in his newly signed executive orders.  He said during those signings that “I do not view the labor movement as part of the problem.  To me, it’s part of the solution.”  Tell that to the car companies.  We all know this is payback for the unions’ efforts to get him elected.  You should have seen the crap we had sent to our house from the union my partner is in through Disney.  There was no doubt that the union expected their members to vote for Obama.

I know I keep saying this, but it is going to be a long four years and we’re only two weeks into this thing.

Propaganda Commercials Use Rush Limbaugh To Drum Up Socialism Support

Today a group calling itself Americans United for Change (how original) started airing radio ads hoping to drive a wedge between Rush Limbaugh and Republicans.  These ads are running in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Nevada.  The ads start by pulling something Rush said completely out of context and playing a soundbite in which we only hear Rush say that he hopes Obama fails.  The actual connotation of the quote was that Rush hoped Obama’s  plans fail that are pushing socialism.  I completely understood what Rush said when I heard it for the first time myself and I agreed.  I have criticized both Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck in the past for making statements that they hope Obama is successful – period.  I wanted them to define success thoroughly before making such blanket statements.  Indeed I want the country to recover, but not if that means we become socialist.

The ad continues with a narrator saying, “Every Republican member of the house chose to take Rush’s advice.  Every Republican voted with Limbaugh and against creating 4 million new American jobs.  We can understand why an extreme partisan like Rush Limbaugh wants President Obama’s job program to fail, but the members of Congress elected to represent the citizens in their districts?  That’s another matter.  Now the Obama plan goes to the Senate and the question is:  Will our Senator (either George Vornovich from Ohio, Arlen Specter from Pennsylvania or John Ensign from Nevada) side with Rush Limbaugh too?”

1.  Rush Limbaugh is not an extreme partisan.  He is conservative and goes after the Republicans when they do not follow the conservative way.

2.  Now the Recovery Pork-Engourged Non-Stimulus Bill is Obama’s Jobs Program?!

3.  Now we are just creating 4 million jobs again.  I thought it was create or save and then the number was 2 million, no wait 2.5 million, no wait 3 million, no wait 4 million…

4.  Fairness Doctrine here we come – shut that Rush Limbaugh up.

When Woodrow Wilson was president he moved this country the closest to Marxism that it had ever come.  One of his stategies was implementing a propaganda team that drummed up support around the country for Wilson’s ideas and administration and who took care of arresting and beating dissenters.  A chill wind is blowing…history repeats itself.

Iceland May Adopt The Euro As Its Currency

Events around the world are changing on a daily basis especially in the world of economics.  Iceland is facing some real changes and hard decisions with their economy in shambles.  Iceland became independent of Denmark in 1944 and has always prized its sovereignty, thus it has resisted joining the European Union opting to join the European Economic Area (EEA) which gives it access to the EU’s single market.  Iceland also fears foreign control of its fishing industry and having to give up whaling because the EU does not allow it.

But now Iceland is reconsidering their stance on EU membership because  the Icelandic krona is barely traded anymore and has become de-valued and its economy has collapsed due to too much debt.  Wonder who else has been playing that debt game?  Because the krona is almost worthless Iceland’s banks cannot borrow abroad.  And a large majority of Icelanders support a move to a new currency, favoring the Euro.

Next week the ruling Independence Party is meeting to discuss the future.  The Independence Party follows its name by being hostile to EU membership. Geir Haarde, the Prime Minister of Iceland, is not crazy about a move to the Euro, but he also knows that the krona is done.  The EU is requiring that Iceland join the EU first before they can adopt the Euro.  This might get Iceland to look at the dollar, but our dollar is losing value daily as the printing presses keep going.  There is a group that is part of the coalition called the Social Democrats that wants to join the EU – imagine that, Democrats wanting to become more globalized and give up sovereignty - and have threatened to quit the coalition if an EU membership application is not lodged by March.   Iceland could become an EU member by 2011, but membership of the single currency would take a bit longer.  The act of working towards euro convergence would reassure the markets though which is desperately needed.

This is just another step closer to that one world government.  The European Union now encompasses nearly all European countries, twenty-seven to be exact.  It started with only six member states so it has grown quickly.

Eleven Democrats Make Vote Against Recovery Plan Bi-partisan Effort

Poor President Obama.  He had wanted to make this Recovery Bullcrap of his a bi-partisan effort in passing it, but all the meetings and wining and dining had no effect on the Republicans as they stuck to (or at least appeared to) their principles and voted down the bill unanimously.  And even better is the fact that eleven Democrats joined the Republicans in a bi-partisan effort to vote against the stimulus.  I promised to post their names and here they are:

1. Bobby Bright - Alabama’s second district

2. Parker Griffith- Alabama’s fifth district

 3. Allen Boyd - Florida’s second district – Yeah for Florida!

4. Walt Minnick- Idaho’s first district

5. Brad Ellsworth - Indiana’s eighth district

6. Frank Kratovil - Maryland’s first district

7. Collin Peterson - Minnesota’s seventh district

8. Gene Taylor- Mississippi’s 4th district

9. Heath Shuler- North Carolina’s 11th district

10. Paul Kanjorski - Pennsylvania’s 11th district

11. Jim Cooper- Tennessee’s fifth district

Let’s hear it for the Blue Dogs!

President Obama Adds To Oval Office Global Warming

President Obama has most definately mastered the art of speaking out of both sides of his mouth.  He banned all lobbyists from being a part of his administration and yet there are three of them in his new cabinet.  The press covers how fit he is and Obama talks about living healthy lifestyles and yet he smokes (secretly).  Obama claims that all earmarks will be banned in his administration and yet pushes his pork engourged unstimulus upon America.  While running for president Obama had said,  “We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK.  That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen.”  But apparently what is not okay for the little people is okay for the president.

The New York Times reported that President Obama keeps the Oval Office so warm that no suit jackets are needed.  They presented it as a story of appreciation for the fact that Obama has dressed down the Oval Office unlike President Bush who required suit jackets and ties at all times in the Oval Office.  David Axelrod, who is Obama’s senior advisor, explained it this way,  “He’s from Hawaii, O.K.?  He likes it warm. You could grow orchids in there.”  So we need to just put on another sweater, but he can crank up the heat.  The Obamaphiles just worship him and he is their messiah so he should have the very best, right?

A part of this story that was missed by the New York Times and probably liberals is the lack of respect and honor President Obama has for the Oval Office.  In our country, that is a sacred place where our greatest leaders have made decisions and such.  But why honor it with such stuffiness?  I guess a man who ignores the Constitution doesn’t have much use for the historical value of the Oval Office anyway.

House Passes Pork Engourged Recovery Stimulus Bill

This really isn’t breaking news.  There was no doubt that this earmarked to the hilt bill would pass through the house with no problem.  The breaking news for me is that no Republicans voted for the bill.  I really am very proud of them for not just flapping their gums, but actually following through.  Earlier in the afternoon the Democrats defeated a Republican alternative bill that would have halved the cost of this bill.  There were also eleven Democrats that voted against the bill and I intend to find out their names and thank them for not marching along the party line.  The Huffington Post is decrying the GOP for “toeing the party line” by voting against this bill.  What morons!  How about the fact that the GOP doesn’t want their names on this thing when it goes up in flames – the flames of failure.

President Obama had this comment after the house voted, “This recovery plan will save or create more than three million new jobs over the next few years.”  Two things to point out, one is that this doesn’t sound like immediate relief if he claims these jobs will come about over the “next few years” and the second is how he is still clinging to this “save or create” bullcrap.  The House’s GOA doesn’t see this thing creating that many jobs.  And less than 20% of this package will make it into the economy in 2009.

The most horrific news I heard today in regards to this bill was the latest Gallup poll in regards to it.  Now I don’t give polls much credence, but 52% of Americans supposedly wanted this bull to pass with only 37% being against it like myself.  What a sad state of affairs for our country.  Have we really become this pathetic?

World Leaders Meet In Switzerland For Economic Forum

The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum is on and many of the world’s leaders are there, except for our president.  The meetings are closed door, as always, so who knows what plans are being laid.  The report for the first days business is this, “Participants at the opening session of the Annual Meeting 2009 agreed that the global crisis, as well as holding great risks for the world economy, may genuinely have political consequences. ‘Has the reputation of the US suffered outside of its shores?’ asked Michael Elliot, Editor, Time International. In response the panel warned of increasing protectionism and the failure of the multilateral approach. ‘Our job as policy makers is to take the anaemic growth of 2009 and turn it into a building block of higher growth in the future, and this will require major reform,’ said Stephen Roach, Chairman, Asia, Morgan Stanley.”

I thought they were suppose to discuss economics, not the reputation of the United States.  Keep an eye on this.  You can follow updates at the official site here.

President Obama Panders To Our Enemies

The hits just keeping rolling on for President Obama.  This is most certainly not the same man that ran during the campaign for president.  His middle of the road ways are long gone.  And beyond even my comprehension – and really nothing Obama does surprises me anymore – he gave his first interview as president to an Arabic satellite TV network.  What?!  Yeah, he’s trying to convince our enemies who declared us to be their enemies without us doing anything, that America is not their enemy.  This guy is not only naive, he is downright dangerous.  If you are not prepared for another attack soon, you better get that way.

The interview was also President Obama’s attempt to repair relations with Muslims which was one of his commitments during the campaign.  Something I came out strongly against.  The president said he intends to engage the Middle East immediately and his new envoy to the region, former Sen. George J. Mitchell, is headed to Egypt on Tuesday for a visit.  He also intends to visit Israel, the West Bank, Jordan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia.  Did anybody happen to hear that a Palestinian roadside bomb killed an Israeli soldier who was patrolling the gaza border today and that Israel responded with an airstrike that wounded a Hamas militant?  So much for that truce.  I guess this visit will be timely. Israel sent tanks and bulldozers across the border into Gaza for a short time after its soldier was killed and three others were wounded in the bombing.

Back to Obama and this unbelievable comment on th Al-Arabiya news channel’s interview, “My job to the Muslim world is to communicate that the Americans are not your enemy.”  His job to the Muslim world?!  He works for freakin’ US!!!  This guy has pissed me off more in the last week than George Bush did in four years.  Is he out of his mind?  We are so screwed!  Then this twit (sorry he has lost my respect because he is destroying us and opening us wide for the takedown) apologized for America and said we had made mistakes and destroyed our relationship with the Muslim world but ”that the same respect and partnership that America had with the Muslim world as recently as 20 or 30 years ago, there’s no reason why we can’t restore that.”  Hmm…when exactly did we have hostages over there…

To be fair, President Bush and Secretary of State Rice both gave interviews to Al-Arabiya, but never with the intention of making us look bad.  They generally were reaching out to Iranians to tell them we supported them in fighting against their government.

Obama talked about how he had grown up in Indonesia and that he had Muslim relatives.  I just bet they stop burning his image in effigy now.  Obama also called for a new partnership with the Muslim world “based on mutual respect and mutual interest” and said that he felt it was important to “get engaged right away” in the Middle East.  He also talked about his directions to Mitchell and that he wants to talk to “all the major parties involved” and that he wants Mitchell to “start by listening, because all too often the United States starts by dictating.”

The president also talked briefly about Israel and the Palestinians and the hard choices they need to make.  They’re really not hard in my opinion.  Israel takes back Gaza and the Palestinians who can play nice get to stay.  He said, “I do believe that the moment is ripe for both sides to realize that the path that they are on is one that is not going to result in prosperity and security for their people,” and he went on to support the creation of a Palestinian state.

President Obama also referenced al-Qaida and said he thought they did not know how to react to him and that “they seem nervous” and “what that tells me is that their ideas are bankrupt.”  They don’t need too many other ideas since we are letting down our defenses again.

Shocking News: NBC’s Parent Company GE Faltering

Oh, am I being irreverent again?  I abhor the left wing agenda of NBC, MSNBC, GE and Universal.  (No, I don’t dislike Universal because I’m a Disney nut, but when you can go to the Magic Kingdom why go to the ghetto?)  The Associated Press is reporting that the General Electric Co. posted a 46% drop in quarterly earnings.  The main issue is it’s failing finance business, GE Capital.  Last year was a difficult year for one of the world’s largest companies that is spread out in many different sectors of business ranging from light bulbs to News stations and even jet engines.  The company declared plans to both defend its top “AAA” credit rating and pay its $1.24 dividend.  GE’s shares fell 4.5% in trading on Friday.

Sounds like they need a bailout…oh wait, here is what the AP reported, “GE Capital has joined federal programs designed to help lenders raise cash and the company expects its credit losses from bad loans to rise to $9 billion this year.”  Joined federal programs?  That sounds strangely like they were part of the bailout doesn’t it?

GE might be faltering because of bad loans they made in their credit business, but GE has made some other horrific decisions that I think affect the company as well.  They just aren’t talking about it.  Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.  That would be GE CEO Jeff Immelt.  This guy is an idiot.  I was flipping channels last Monday and ended up getting stuck on MSNBC (I know, when I could have been watching “The View”…)  Jeff Immelt was on Morning Joe being interviewed and everyone was giddy with Obama Fever.  Immelt referred to America as a company and said something along the lines that this was going to be an era for a new company in which energy and infrastructure are the answers to our woes.  STOP LAUGHING!  I really was rather shocked that this came from a man who stands to gain from government tyranny telling us which light bulbs we can use (those energy efficient ones are so inexpensive *gag*) and from a stimulus package that is planning on changing out all the old light bulbs in government buildings.  Wonder who is getting the contract to supply them?  Hmm…I hope some reporter can get on that.

Jeff ImbecileImmelt also had this chunk of wisdom to share, “Capitalism is the old playbook.”  My God, if that did not rocket the stock price down I do not know what will.  He is a friggin’ corporation which makes it’s money from CAPITALISM!!!!!  Sorry, I need to take a deep breathe.  Thinking puppy dogs and rainbows…Oh crap, now I’m thinking about what people are thinking Obama the Great is bringing to America.

Wonder if Immelt, who has been capitalizing on this whole “green” thing with “Green Weeks” and “green theming”, noticed the 575 million pounds of CO2 the Inauguration created?  And how about that trash everywhere?  If you saw the picture I posted a couple of days ago I’m sure you noticed that recyclable bottle in the foreground.  Oh those greenies are just so responsible.

I’ll tell you Mr. Immelt, your business is going to continue to spiral down as more Americans realize that you are just spoon feeding them leftist agendas across your news rooms and as they catch wind of your bullcrap expect some boycotting – I already don’t purchase anything with the GE stamp myself.  Oh wait, boycotting doesn’t work since capitalism is the “old playbook”, right?

Recovery And Reinvestment Package Has Hidden Agenda

The Committee on Appropriations released a summary of the Recovery and Reinvestment Package this past week.  Hidden inside this package are a few gems – or what I would call “sinkholes”.  Here is the biggest red flag that you may have heard about if you were not following the MSM:

“Training Primary Care Providers: $600 million to address shortages and prepare our country for universal healthcare by training primary healthcare providers including doctors, dentists, and nurses as well as helping pay medical school expenses for students who agree to practice in underserved communities through the National Health Service Corps.”

Yep, there it is, universal healthcare. And how about that last little part about a National Healthcare Service Corp? Just another one of Obama’s Brownshirt organizations. Then there was this:

Prevention and Wellness Fund: $3 billion to fight preventable chronic diseases, the leading cause of deaths in the U.S., and infectious diseases. Preventing disease rather than treating illnesses is the most effective way to reduce healthcare costs. This includes hospital infection prevention, Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grants for state and local public health departments, immunization programs, and evidence-based disease prevention.”

What does that last part mean? If you’re fat, evidence shows you will have high blood pressure, heart attacks and diabetes so no more goodies for you fatty fatso – the government will control what goes in the mouth. There will be more government expansion with this:

A Recovery Act Accountability and Transparency Board will be created to review management of recovery dollars and provide early warning of problems.”

Ready for a laugh?  It makes this claim: “There are no earmarks in this package.”  The whole damn thing is an earmark!  And then there is this which I am grateful for since Social Security will be bankrupt fairly soon:

Social Security Administration Modernization: $400 million to replace the 30 year old Social Security Administration’s National Computer Center to meet growing needs for processing retirement and disability claims and records storage.”

And my final gem for everyone is this:

“$300 million to upgrade job training facilities serving at-risk youth while improving energy efficiency.”

Yet another Brownshirt group and they get several facilities. At least we know that juvenile delinquents will have the right to stop us on the street and ask for our papers rather then just mug us. And what is that bit about improving energy efficiency? Oh I get it, these kids are our new Light Bulb Changing Engineers! Oh joy!
